Culinary Dynamic Duo DeAnna Akers and Aaron Hervey Bring New Flavor to
Akron's Historic District
Thursday, September 22, 2005

Akron, OH - September, 2005) -- Head chefs DeAnna Akers and Aaron Hervey are excited to announce the grand opening of their new restaurant venture CRAVE.   Conveniently located at the heart of Akron's historic district in the beautifully restored Castle Hall building, CRAVE will begin offering unique flavors to the community on Monday, September 26 th , 2005.

CRAVE's inventive menu will feature moderately priced global cuisine served in an imaginative yet comfortable setting. After years of working together, the chefs have cultivated the ability to challenge tried and true recipes and evolve them with a twist of fresh, new flavors.

"There are so many fantastic flavors out there. We don't want to exclude any. Our menu does not discriminate so the options are limitless," says Akers.

CRAVE's menu includes the likes of mushroom pancakes, bloody mary ketchup, and green tea grilled duck breast. The menu will also include many favorites from the duos days at Northside, like blackened catfish, Reuben sandwiches, fried green tomatoes and smoked gouda macaroni and cheese. CRAVE also offers specials that will change weekly, allowing Akers and Hervey to cook with the best of seasonal offerings throughout the year.

"Eat. Drink. That's CRAVE," explained Hervey. "We wanted to create a place that was casual, but not mundane. The kind of place where you don't need to get dressed up to enjoy good food."

The multilevel restaurant features a long granite bar, warm pendant lighting, and comfortable, high-backed booths, all complemented by a large communal table right in the center of the action. A large chefs' table, designed to seat ten, is situated by a partially open kitchen, so guests can see the chefs working their magic. CRAVE will also offer a seasonal outdoor patio.

In addition, Dana Hervey and Kim Everhard will preside over a generous list of specialty cocktails, with an extensive array exclusive beers, including eight on tap, a full wine list and even a specialty water menu.

The restaurant will be open Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Saturday for dinner only. For more information, or to make reservations, call 330-253-1234 or visit www.eatdrinkcrave.com.
